Carving out more time for these productivity hacks and boosters all things you want to accomplish may seem overwhelming and impossible at first, but they pay off with extra time.
Productivity hacks:
- Prioritize activities. Before starting any tasks, rank them from most to least important, and most to least time sensitive. Use both of these rankings to determine the first, second, and third priorities of the day. Start with the first priority first.
- Stick to a routine of consistent bedtimes and wake times. This helps to train the body and mind to be ready for sleep and productivity when you need each.
- Schedule breaks. Write them in a planner, set an alarm, or do both. Make sure to take them. Powering through may seem like a good plan to get more done, but it will slow the rate of productivity in the long run.
- Eat, and try to choose healthy options. The mind and body need quality fuel for optimal productivity. Here’s a resource for healthy eating on the go.
- Stay hydrated. Again, this helps to provide fuel and maintain sharpness throughout the day.
- Exercise in the morning. This helps to get the blood flowing, wake up the body and mind, and speed up all the other tasks of the day.
- Relax and recharge! The body and mind can’t go full speed all the time. It’s just not possible, and the crash will eventually come. This means a big drop in productivity, and sometimes even results in illness. Trouble relaxing? Try this 7-step process!
- Unwind every evening. Whether it’s a chat with a friend, warm bath, or journaling session, separate day from night with an activity that helps you process the day before you get in bed. This will improve sleep quality, and boost productivity the following day.
- Use brain techniques to relax the mind and body. This can be done first thing in the morning to get the day off to a good start, and it can be done before bed to increase the quality of sleep. Check below for a FREE guided brain exercise to walk you through each step.
